Stephanie, a resident in counseling, specialized in substance abuse and families affected by addiction. She has 4 years experience working with addictions as well as severe mental health diagnoses. Stephanie worked as a family therapist at Cumberland Heights and primary counselor at Buffalo Valley in Nashville, Tennessee. She is skilled in treating mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar, as well as mental health crises, families in crisis, and women’s issues.

Stephanie understands the challenges that come to play in families with addiction. Her main goal for all clients is to feel accepted while in session. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Stephanie obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Auburn University and her PhD at Trevecca Nazarene University. Her dissertation examined the effects of mindfulness with depression, self-forgiveness, and stages of change as it pertains to people in recovery. She is under the supervision of Amanda Deverich, LMFT.
